Founded by Dr. Soumen Das, an IIT Graduate with a deep commitment to social change, IIMPreNEuR was born from a simple realization: Talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not. Dr. Das witnessed the immense, untapped potential in the remote schools and colleges of the North East Region (NER). He established this mission to systematically identify, nurture, and propel these deserving students into the nation's premier institutions.
Every student, regardless of their zip code, deserves a fair shot at the IIMs, the SSCs, and becoming a leader. Our mission is to make that opportunity a reality.

Post his retirement as a Secretary from the Government of Assam, he dedicates his expertise to the IIMPreNEuR initiative. He strategically mentors the team, focusing on empowering Assamese youth to achieve their professional and entrepreneurial goals.

The first person to take IIT Ghy outside the campus under the banner of Abhilasha, the initiative to pursue design as a career which was conducted in rural areas like Jorhat, Tura, Ri-bhoi. Which focused on pursuing design, law, management as a career.

The IIMPreNEuR Empowerment Model
From Block Level to National Institution
Dr. Soumen Das and his team travel to block-level schools and colleges, conducting intensive short term coaching workshops focusing on career counselling, confidence building, and aptitude training.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a rigorous Mock Test is administered. The Top 10 most promising and deserving students are selected for the next phase.
The selected students receive 1 Year of FREE, Comprehensive Coaching at a premier institute, preparing them for highly competitive exams like CAT, CLAT, CUET, SSC, Bank and Other Govt. Jobs.
The coaching targets entry into IIMs (CAT), banking, and other high-value Government Jobs, ensuring a sustainable career path matching the aspiration and preparation of students.

The IIMPreNEuR model has been rigorously tested and proven effective in the demanding landscape of the Assam and Meghalaya. We have successfully cracked the code for identifying and mainstreaming talent from the block level from these states. Our goal is now to replicate this successful, merit-driven model across every underserved state in North-East.
